Seawalls | DESCRIPTION: Seawalls are hardened structures at the shoreline that can be raised above expected flood levels to protect from coastal flooding. Almost all of the existing shoreline in the study area consists of seawalls of one type or another. New seawalls could be constructed of concrete bulkhead walls, or using stone piles known as revetments. |
